1. Working principle of bend tube flowmeter

Bend tube flowmeter belongs to the category of differential pressure flowmeter, and bend tube sensor generates differential pressure using the inertia principle of fluid. When the fluid passes through a bend, it is forced to make a similar circular motion due to the constraint of the bend. The centrifugal force generated by the fluid during circular motion acts on the inner and outer sides of the bend, creating a pressure difference between the inner and outer sides of the bend sensor. The magnitude of this pressure difference (i.e., the pressure difference) is related to the density of the fluid, the average flow velocity of the fluid, and the curvature radius of the fluid during circular motion. They follow the relevant laws of Newtons laws of motion that all objects in circular motion must follow. The successful development of the bend tube flowmeter has a solid theoretical and experimental research foundation. In terms of theoretical research, the main method is to directly solve the numerical solution of the differential equation of fluid flowing through a bent pipe, comprehensively revealing the flow law of fluid flowing through the bent pipe. In terms of experimental research, there are both extensive laboratory experiments and authoritative verifications of flow measurements of different media at national flow verification stations (Kaifeng Water Flow, Yantai Steam, Huayang Natural Gas). Theoretical research and extensive experimental studies have shown that due to the guiding effect of bent pipes, the fluid flowing through them exhibits a very complex flow state. By obtaining numerical solutions of the Navier Stokes differential equation (N-S equation), it c

an be animated to show that this flow state mainly includes the main flow along the main pipeline direction, the double helix secondary flow perpendicular to the main flow, and the outlet vortex, which have strong regularity. According to the proportional relationship between the pressure difference inside and outside the curved pipe for real viscous fluids, there is a good correlation. According to the principle of dimensional analysis, the average flow velocity through a curved pipe and the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the pipe can be given by the following equation: when a fluid flows through a pipe at a certain temperature and pressure, and it turns, the fluid will undergo corresponding circular rotational motion. According to the theory of forced swirling of fluids, the circular motion of fluids in pipelines is similar to the circular motion of solids in a spatial state. Therefore, fluids will inevitably generate inertial centrifugal force, and the magnitude of this centrifugal force is related to factors such as fluid velocity, fluid density, and the curvature radius of the circular motion (i.e., the curvature radius of the bend sensor). Due to the known curvature radius of the bend tube sensor scraper and the accurate determination of fluid density through temperature, pressure, and other parameters using the host computer, the magnitude of centrifugal force generated on the bend tube sensor is only a function of fluid velocity. As long as the magnitude of centrifugal force is measured, the flow velocity of the fluid in the pipeline can be determined. The flow rate of the fluid can be calculated by multiplying the flow velocity by the cross-sectional area of the pipeline and the density of
