How to use an argon gas meter? What size of valve should be opened to use the argon gas gauge?

Instructions for using the argon gas gauge and adjusting the valve opening

1. Basic operating steps of the argon gas gauge. Before using, ensure that the pressure in the argon gas storage tank is adjusted to 0.8-1.2MPa (displayed on the high-pressure gauge).

. Slowly open the argon cylinder valve and observe if the high pressure gauge displays pressure (if not, it may indicate that the cylinder is empty or the pressure reducing valve is faulty). Adjust the output pressure by turning on the adjustment knob (usually black or green) of the argon gas gauge (pressure reducer). Rotate clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to close it. Adjust the output pressure to 0.18-0.25MPa (displayed on the low pressure gauge), which is a universal standard and needs to be fine tuned according to equipment requirements. After confirming that the pipeline connection equipment is operating normally, fix the adjustment knob and maintain a stable output pressure.

Secondly, the valve opening size should refer to the argon arc welding scenario: usually, the flow meter needs to be adjusted to 4-6 liters/minute (about 0.1~0.15 MPa), and air should be supplied in advance and a constant flow rate should be maintained during welding.

. Other industrial uses: Adjust according to the equipment manual, generally not exceeding 0.25MPa, to avoid damaging the instrument due to excessive pressure.

III. Precautions: Regularly check the tank pressure during each shift, and if it approaches the lower limit (such as 0.8MPa), promptly increase the pressure or replace the gas cylinder.

. Stop immediately when

the liquid level is below the red line to prevent a decrease in purity. Safe operation: Avoid direct contact with liquid argon to prevent frostbite; Wear protective equipment during drainage or maintenance. Keep the argon gas meter dry to prevent water ingress and short circuit (refer to gas meter protection requirements). If the pressure fluctuates abnormally during troubleshooting, close the bottle valve and check the sealing of the pipeline.

Fourth, pressurization operation (optional): When the pressure in the storage tank is lower than the equipment demand, slowly open the pressurization valve and observe the pressure gauge on the stove to rise to the working pressure (such as 1.0MPa).

. Immediately close the booster valve after reaching the target to avoid the risk of overpressure. For more specific equipment parameters, it is recommended to refer to the argon gas meter model manual or contact the manufacturer for confirmation.

2. Is the argon arc welding table universal?

It cannot be universal. An argon gas meter is generally called an argon flow meter and can only be used for inert gas or to indicate that the stove is a mixture of gases. Oxygen has an oxygen meter, acetylene has an acetylene meter, and carbon dioxide gas shielded welding has a dedicated meter with heating function.

3. Usage of argon arc welding

The usage of argon arc welding mainly includes the following process:

1. Equipment connection and preparation. Installation of argon gas cylinder and flow meter: Firstly, prepare the argon gas cylinder and install the argon flow meter on the cylinder.

. Next, use a gas tube to connect the argon cylinder to the air inlet on the back panel of the welding machin
